Sometimes you should, and we'll say so. But a lawyer's time is expensive, and many people pay for hours just to explain their story. If you arrive with your facts, timeline and documents in order, the time you pay for goes further. Evidence is also easier to collect early, before chats and documents disappear.

Privacy and consent
- We get your written consent before sharing your CV or profile with any recruiter or school, and share only with named recipients, for specific roles.
- Workplace clients: you choose what to share. Please don't send passport scans at first contact. We use your contract, payslips and chats only for the service you ordered, and delete them when you ask.
- We follow privacy principles in the spirit of PIPL and GDPR: we use your data only for the purpose you gave it, collect only what we need, and delete it on request.
- Our order forms and booking links run on third-party services (Tally and Calendly).
Refunds
Workplace support (payment is made before the call or before work starts)
- 30-min consultation (¥150): cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before and we refund in full or move you to another slot. If we miss the call, full refund. No refund after the call takes place.
- Written services (Contract Red-Flag Scan, Full Contract Review, Lawyer-Ready Briefing Pack): full refund if you cancel before we receive your documents and start work. After work starts, pro-rata refund based on what has been completed. No refund once the final document is delivered.
- Live sessions (Management Conversation Prep, Lawyer Meeting Prep): full refund if you cancel at least 24 hours before. Later cancellations are not refunded, unless the problem is on our side.
- Workplace Prep Bundle: pro-rata refund for the parts not yet started.
- Outcomes: we help you understand and prepare. We promise no result in your situation, so refunds never depend on the outcome with your school.
- Disputes: handled in writing before any public review.

Hi, I'm Roger!
I taught in China for a long time, almost a full decade, and I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I know some schools put profit ahead of their teachers' well-being and financial health. This is why I decided to act and help teachers who will unfortunately face situations very similar to the ones I found myself in so many times. I always believed the problems would stay with my last school, but the sad reality that broke me was that the next school can always be worse than the previous one. If you're struggling with toxic managers, unclear or unrealistic expectations, and the risk of not getting a good reference for your next school, I'm your guy! Let's get you prepared.

Do you give visa or legal advice?
No. We're not a law firm, and we're not immigration advisers. We give general guidance only, and when something needs a lawyer or the proper authority, we say so.
What if I'm not a fit?
We'll tell you, usually in the free Fit Check or the consultation, and suggest where to go instead. We'd rather refer you out than sell you something that won't help.
How do I order or book?
Career: start with the free Fit Check form, order a paid service through the order form, or book a free 10-minute intro call. Workplace: book the consultation through the booking link, or order other services through the workplace form; you pay by credit card before the call or before work starts. All forms open in a new tab. If one won't load from where you are, message us on WeChat instead. The website doesn't take payments.

What's your refund policy?
Career services: full refund if you cancel before kickoff; after kickoff, pro-rata based on completed deliverables; no refund once custom deliverables are delivered and accepted. The Fit Check is free.

What if I need a lawyer?
Then we'll tell you, and we can help you find one. FMySchool is not a law firm, but we can be your practical first step: we help you understand what's happening and prepare, so you arrive with your facts, timeline, documents and questions in order, and don't pay a lawyer for things you could do yourself. If you'd like us to introduce you to a lawyer, our fee, ¥500, covers the introduction only. The lawyer's fee is agreed directly between you and the lawyer, is separate from ours, and we receive nothing from the lawyer. The lawyer acts for you, not for us, and we don't promise any result.
What does the ¥150 consultation include?
A 30-minute call. We listen, tell you which red flags we see, and recommend your next step. There's no written strategy and there are no documents. The ¥150 is not credited toward later services. You pay by credit card before the call. Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before for a full refund or a new slot; if we miss the call, full refund; no refund after the call.
Can you send a letter to my school for me?
We don't send it ourselves. We help you prepare a draft letter, in your own name, and you decide whether to send it. Our free letter tool builds an English and Chinese draft in your browser. If you'd like a lawyer to send it, we can introduce you to one. Our fee, ¥500, covers the introduction only. The lawyer's fee is agreed directly between you and the lawyer, is separate from ours, and we receive nothing from the lawyer. The lawyer acts for you, not for us, and we don't promise any result.
Will my school find out I contacted you?
We can't rule out the possibility, but we don't put our logo on demand letters, and we will never contact your school directly. We use what you send us only for the service you ordered, as described under Privacy and consent.
